Keyboard Shortcuts
Use shortcuts to work faster. Keys use macOS glyphs: ⌘ Command, ⌥ Option, ⌃ Control, ⇧ Shift, ⏎ Return, ⌫ Delete/Backspace.

Active vs inactive pane: Copy (F5) and Move (F6) act from the active pane to the inactive pane. Press ⇥ to switch focus.
Navigation

Selection

| Space | Toggle selection for the active item. If Alternate Spacebar action is enabled, shows Quick Look. |
| ⇧ + ↑/↓ | Expand/shrink selection by one item. |
| ⌘A | Select all items. |
| ⌥⌘A | Deselect all items. |
| ⇧⌘I | Invert selection. |
| ⇧⌘A | Select all items with the same extension. |
| ⌘= | Expand selection by pattern (Mark › Expand). |
| ⌘- | Shrink selection by pattern (Mark › Shrink). |
Core functions

| F3 | Open Viewer (text/HEX/media). Can be set to external. |
| F4 | Edit with external editor (default TextEdit). |
| F5 | Copy from active pane to the opposite pane’s path. |
| ⌥F5 | Compress selected item(s). |
| F6 | Move from active pane to the opposite pane’s path. |
| F7 | Create new folder at current location. |
| ⌥F7 | Open Search (can be external if configured). |
| F8 | Delete selected item(s) (with confirmation). |

| ⌘J | Open Transfer Manager (queue & history). |

Tips
- Press and hold Back/Forward in the toolbar to open navigation history.
- Use Quick Look with Space to preview without leaving the list.
- Pattern selection supports wildcards (e.g.,
*.jpg,system*). - Enable Lynx‑like navigation in Preferences if you prefer arrow‑key navigation into/out of folders.
